Comparative Analytics

Comparative Analytics allows emission comparisons across facilities and time intervals. Users can analyze selected facilities, categories, and emission sources in detail on the same screen.

The screen contains two main options: Facility Comparison and Timeframe Comparison.

Facility Comparison

  • The Facility Comparison chart shows the total emissions of selected facilities broken down by scope or category. Displayed values are automatically updated according to the chosen classification (GHG-Based, ISO-Based, Source-Based) and relevant categories/sub-categories.

  • At least 2 facilities and up to 5 facilities must be selected for comparison. It must be ensured that the selected facilities contain data for the relevant time range.

  • Specific periods can be examined by selecting custom date ranges.

  • Users can filter scopes (e.g., Scope 1 → Stationary Combustion) to compare only certain sources (e.g., Natural Gas, LPG, Diesel).

  • The Sub-Categories chart displays distributions at scope or category level according to the selected classification.

  • The Emission Sources chart presents emission sources in detail depending on the selected sub-category. For example, when Stationary Combustion → LPG is selected, the chart shows the distribution of LPG-related emissions across facilities.

  • Charts are interactive: users can click on sub-categories or emission sources to hide or display them.

  • Scope and category selections automatically update all charts and tables, ensuring comparisons remain consistent.

  • Through detailed filtering, it is possible to easily identify the main sources of emissions.

Timeframe Comparison

  • The Timeframe Comparison chart shows how emissions change within the selected date range. Unlike Facility Comparison, this view reveals fluctuations in emissions when data has been entered on a monthly, daily, or other detailed intervals.

  • This makes it possible to examine increases, decreases, or stable trends in emissions during specific periods.

  • In the left panel, GHG-Based, ISO-Based, and Source-Based breakdowns, facility selections, and scope/sub-category filters can also be applied.

  • For example, when only Stationary Combustion → Coal is selected, the chart displays monthly fluctuations in coal-related emissions across facilities within the chosen date range.

  • With this feature, organizations can easily track emission peaks, reductions, or seasonal changes.
