The Inventory section is where products are defined and managed within the system before starting emission calculations under CBAM.

In this section, both produced and purchased products are identified and positioned within the value chain. The defined products are linked with production flows and emission calculations, forming the core data infrastructure for subsequent processes.

Product List

On this screen, all products defined within your organization are displayed under the Product List table.

The following information is available for each product in the list:

  • Product – Product name

  • Category – The category group in which the product is classified

  • Transaction – Transaction type (e.g., purchased, sold, or both)

  • Unit – Measurement unit (e.g., kg)

  • Facilities – The facility where the product is located or managed

  • Status – Product status (e.g., CBAM, Active)

  • Options – Action menu for product-related operations

Adding a New Product

To add a new product, click the Add Product button.

In the form that opens, the following information can be entered to create a product record.

1. Product Identification

In the first step, you define the product’s core identification, classification, transaction structure, and related facilities.

The name of the product

Internal Product Code

Internal reference code used within the organization

External Product Code

External or system-based product reference code

Description

Short product description

Product Type*

Defines the type of product (e.g., raw material, tangible product)

Product Category

The category under which the product is classified

Default GHG Category

The default emission category used for GHG calculations

Transaction Type*

Defines whether the product is purchased, sold, or both

Supplier

The supplier associated with the product (if applicable)

Customer

The customer associated with the product (if applicable)

Production Facility

The facility where the product is produced

Storage Facility

The facility where the product is stored

2. Product Specifications

In the second step, you define the physical characteristics of the product and the CBAM-related product classification.

Unit of Measure*

The unit used to measure the product (e.g., kilogram)

Density

The density value of the product

Packing Weight

The packaging weight associated with the product

Add New Composition

Allows material composition information to be added for the product

This product is CBAM relevant

Indicates whether the product is relevant under CBAM

CN Code*

The CN code assigned to the product for CBAM classification

CN Name

The CN description linked to the selected CN code

Origin Country*

The country of origin of the product

3. Other Details

In the final step, you can define additional GHG and financial information related to the product.

The average unit price of the product

Currency

The currency used for financial values

Cost Center

The cost center associated with the product

GL Code

The general ledger code associated with the product

(* marked fields are mandatory)

Save Draft and Exit

Save Draft and Exit allows you to save the product without completing all required fields and continue editing it later from the product list.

After completing the required fields, click Continue to move to the next step. Once all steps are completed, the product record is saved and added to the Product List.

Product Actions

By clicking the ... (three dots) icon located on the right side of each product row in the Product List, you can perform the following actions:

  • Edit – Opens the product form, allowing you to update product information. After making the necessary changes, click Continue and save the updates.

  • View product detail – Displays all detailed information related to the selected product.

  • Delete – Removes the product from the system.

The deletion process requires confirmation and cannot be undone once completed.

Product Detail Page

When you click View product detail, the system opens the Product Detail Page where all information related to the selected product is displayed in a structured format.

The following information is available on this page:

  • Basic Information – product name, product type, category

  • Supply Chain Attributes – transaction type, production and storage facilities, supplier and customer information

  • Use of Product – Shows the production flows where the product is used or produced

  • Materials – unit of measure, density, packing weight, and material composition

  • CBAM Metadata – CN code, CN name, aggregated goods category, sector, origin country, GHG type

  • GHG Metadata – emission data availability and related references

  • Financial Metadata – average unit price, currency, cost center, GL code

  • Administrative Information – creation and update details

From this screen, you can update the product using the Edit button or manage the record as needed.
