User Access and Management

User Access and Management allows assigning existing users in the organization to specific facilities and managing their roles within those facilities. This ensures full control over which users have what permissions in each facility.

Assigning Users

To assign a user to a facility:

  1. Go to Settings → User Access and Management.

  2. Click the Assign User button.

  3. In the pop-up window, select the facility and the user.

  4. Click Assign User to complete the process.

User List

The User List table displays all registered users in the system. The following information is shown:

  • User Name

  • Email

  • Role (e.g., Product Manager, User)

  • Facilities (facilities the user has access to)

  • Options (Edit)

Additional features:

  • Use the Search bar to find users.

  • Use the Filters button to filter by roles or facilities.

Roles

Users with the User role can be assigned to specific facilities. Within facilities, the following special roles can be defined:

Observer

  • Has view-only access.

  • Can view emission data, calculations, and reports but cannot enter data, perform calculations, or generate reports.

Data Specialist

  • Responsible for collecting, validating, and recording emission inventory data.

  • Ensures that all data used for calculations and reporting is complete and compliant with standards.

  • Acts as a control mechanism for data quality and accuracy.

Editing User Access

To edit a user’s facility access:

  1. Locate the user in the User List table.

  2. Click Edit.

  3. In the pop-up window, review the user’s current facilities and roles.

  4. (Optional) Click + Add Facility to assign the user to a new facility.

  5. Select the role for each facility (Observer or Data Specialist).

  6. Click Save to apply the changes.

Important Notes

  • Users with the Product Manager role automatically have access to all facilities; no additional assignment is required.

  • For users with the User role, facility-based assignments can be made, and either the Observer or Data Specialist role must be selected.

  • General role changes or access updates for User accounts should be managed through the Administration screen.
